Human: Looks like the type of person who fits into the skater or the surfer group no how she dresses. Her hair normally has an unkempt but neat look. Her amber eyes are often called “wolf eyes, if one was to examine her eyes there is the illusion of a inner light due to the thin streaks of the yellow-gold in her amber iris. She may look soft but the faint scares and cuts that are visible suggest other wise. The skin around her eyes, are a shade darker then the rest of the skin on her face. Is sometimes mistaken for a guy and normally considered cute. She looks white except for the slight traces of Asian look to her eyes. Normally wearing dark and slightly baggy clothing. She normally has a sweatshirt with a hood and a thin scarf that she has fashioned into a bandana.
Were: Has the same amber eyes as her human shape. She has fur that is a light brown-red, but the fur around her eyes, limbs and part of her fur on her tail facing out & tip of her tail is a dark brown, and the area around her mouth is a light grey.
Personal Information:
She tends to try to fight Torpor (a variant of hibernation) with energy drinks and staying in warm buildings during the winter months. Soon after the winter months she locks her self up in her room in the art studio because the mating season is starting and her being in heat, which lasts about 6 days or the first week of spring. If some one manages to get in physical contact with her during the mating season, they will have a very sexually frustrated Tanuki on their hands.
If she is given the chance to run around in her were form she would as long as she feels safe.
Like many Tanuki, she prefers not to fight unless she has to, feels threatened, or trying to defend her territory from those that want to take it from her. She is also a bit gullible and absent minded. She will play practical jokes on people (not always nice), and enjoys indulging herself in pleasure (mainly food, fooling around, and little trinkets she likes.).
Silver has no visible effect on her until after about 20 seconds, which leaves burn marks were it touched. Also she feels some pain when she first handles silver, but the pain grows the longer she touches it and the pain lingers after she stops handling it. Every 2 seconds of touching silver the pain increases (from 0-2 seconds = pin pricks// 2-4 seconds = paper cuts// 4-6 seconds = burning starts // 7 seconds and up = Never got there.) and the time of the pain lingering increases by 10 seconds. Despite having a semi-resistance to silver she lack the normal were-healing powers, this causes her to heal as fast as any normal human.

Tanuki by Japanese and other myths from Asia were reputed to be mischievous and jolly, a master of disguise and shape shifting, but somewhat gullible and absent-minded. But during the Kamakura and Muromachi eras, some Tanuki tales took their joking to a new level of humor that involved in humans getting hurt or killed during the joke. Even though the myths of their ability to shape-shift in to anything may have been real at some point in history, the art was lost due to unknown circumstances. The after effects of what happened left the tanukis as were-creatures. Despite the loss of a gift, some say that the gods granted them a visible delay and softened the pain to silver for a short time.

The were-tanukis did not know of the were-wolfs that lived in Europe, so they were not aware of the dangers of approaching those strange humans. She comes from a poor neighborhood and family orientated home. Even though her family had money to live in a better area, they remained in the neighborhood in the mission district of San Francisco. She remained in the house of her relatives, or at home till she could master shifting her form to a human and learned simple illusion spells, for precautionary. By the time she entered the catholic school she was sent to, her father had vanished when he when to the east coast to see some old friends from the steelworker union he use to work for.
She was one of the only girls, that would play rough with the guys at her school, since she was use to play fighting with her cousins and did not care for jump rope or anything else most of the other girls did.
She moved to a suburban area about the time she was entering the 3rd grade. She never got a long with the guys or the girls there, and started to fight not for fun but to defend her pride from the high strung kids. She continued fighting; she slowly gained a reputation for fighting dirty, and having a strong kick. The fighting continued through to the end of middle school. She mellowed out by the time she entered high school, except around religious zealots or extremist.
When she reached the age of 17 years she started to travel around the country staying at “friends” houses.
She is now renting an old art studio from one of the members (human and by marriage) of her family that lives in New York. At least the rent is cheap and she doesn’t have to put up with any of his crazy schemes and some his strange behavor.
