[20:40] * Tomy looks around as she approaches the door... she doesn't even know what the appropriate protocol is on visitors to the temple... she's heard some nastiness about it... and now it stands to look like a mostly harmless, if slightly creepy cult.
[20:44] * JackalNPC waves to Tomy, flipping her long gold and black hair over her shoulder, "Hello, welcome to The Jackal Temple. Are you hear for a tour, a meeting with one of our priests, or are you looking to join?"
[20:45] <Tomy> Tour would be nice sometime... but I seek information. I, unfortunately do not have an appointment.
[20:46] * JackalNPC tilts her head, "Are you looking for information from someone specific or is it something I might be able to help you with?"
[20:48] * Tomy shrugs. "Just want to know basic teachings of temple. You might be able to help."
[20:53] * JackalNPC nods, "Well, why don't you step into my office and I can tell you a bit about ourselfs, yes?"
[20:53] * Tomy nods politely.
[20:56] * Tomy follows you into the office.
[20:57] * JackalNPC gestures one of the temple boys to come over to take her place and she leads Tomy into a rather large black and gold room filled with tourists. She would then start walking down a long, black hallway to the left and end up at a large, heavy wooden door, which she would push open and lead you inside.
[20:59] * JackalNPC would gesture for you to take a seat across the desk from her.
[21:00] * Tomy fallows you into the room, committing to memory the path in and sniffing surrepitously through her human nose, regretfully, for potentially important smells. She sits where indicated, folding her hands over her purse in her lap.
[21:01] <Tomy> let us begin at the beginning... Who is worshipped at the temple.
[21:01] <Tomy> ?
[21:02] * JackalNPC smiles, "We worship the Jackal God, Anubis, and his living Avatar."
[21:03] <Tomy> so... he is a god shaped like a jackal who has a body. What kind of god is he?
[21:05] * JackalNPC tilts her head, "In what regard are you asking that question."
[21:10] * Tomy takes a new tack. "What does Anubis teach the temple?"
[21:18] <JackalNPC> Anubis teaches us that we are all part of some grand plan and that even the tiniest action will affect said plan. He teaches us the importance of life and death and how to appreciate all aspects of life and to not fear death."
[21:19] * Tomy nods... "and... what comes after death?"
[21:24] <JackalNPC> After death we are permitted to join Anubus for all eternity and help him with his divine plan.
[21:25] <Tomy> hmmm. And what do we know about Anubis's plans?
[21:27] * JackalNPC grins, "Unless you're seriously considering joining The Temple, I'm afraid I cannot tell you. The only ones allowed to tell anyone that information is our high priests."
[21:28] * Tomy blinks, and then smiles. "Forgive me. What is the process... how does a person join the temple?
[21:32] * JackalNPC hands her a pamphlet, "First one must make an appointment with one of our high priests. From there, if you choose to join the temple, you will be asked to join one of our nights of worship before you decide to join. If after that you still wish to join, we allow you to join."
[21:35] * Tomy smiles happily. "Thank you for your time. I can show self out, if that's allright."
[21:37] * JackalNPC nods, "Of course. Feel free to look around as well, if you wish." she says, walking to open the door of the office for her.
[21:41] * Tomy smiles. "I would, but I must be going..." she says... and walks out, smiling all the way... she doesn't drop the act until she leaves the upper west side, and then RUNS the whole way to shifters.
