[glow=red,2,300]S4 - STATS and SKILLS SCORING SYSTEM: STATS[/glow]
The S4 is your friend!
Add this to your CS as noted in the CS TEMPLATE:
Intelligence –
Intuition –
Willpower –
Agility –
Strength –
Endurance –
Speed –
The skills work on the 0/5/10 Scale - 0 being completely uselesss, 5 being average, 10 being GODLIKE. We encourage people to use the decimal system to demonstrate where their character lies.
If you have a score of 5 in Strength, then you are "Completely average". If you have a score of 5.5, you are roughly 1.5 times stronger than average. If you are a 6.0, you are 2x stronger than average.
The STAT caps for individual characters is now decided individually in each category for specific types of chars. For instance, no human may have more than 2x (6.0) strength and no less than -2x (4.0) strength. You may request instances where this value needs to be different, subject to individual approval from the OPS/Mods.
Intelligence – This is exactly what it seems to be – a measure of how much raw intelligence you can bring to bear against a problem. Skills that require knowledge of all sorts would hinge upon this. Note: one may be none-too-bright but still show extraordinary skill in something. Just as importantly, one may be very intelligent, knowing a lot about everything, but have few skills useable in the real world.
NOTE: Score of 5 is your average american in 2075. At least a high school diploma, some schooling outside of that, be it some college or trade school.
Intuition – A general idea of how “in tune” with yourself and the world around you that you are. Someone with a low intuition may be oblivious to things, miss obvious clues, or fail to pick up on social situations. Someone with a high intuition is eerily able to notice small, often overlooked details, seemingly come to conclusions that are correct from few facts, or may have hunches about situations that border on the supernatural.
Willpower – This is exactly what it sounds like: how strong one’s will is. A low willpower person will often fold under pressure, giving in when put in tight spots, and usually comes across as weak (in spirit, not in body). Someone with a high willpower, on the other hand, can be both a boon and a bane. They will likely be strong in their conviction, resolute and unyielding in the face of pressure, able to face incredible odds without flinching. Conversely, they may also be a complete stubborn asshole whom never changes their mind no matter how wrong they may be, sure in their conviction that THEY are right. Both extremes are possible.
Agility – A measure of how dexterous and supple one is physically. A highly agile character will move gracefully, be able to do impressive feats with their body, move and twist like a contortionist. Sadly, only one word describes low-agility characters aptly: klutz. Clumsy and uncoordinated, likely to trip on things.
Strength – Pure raw body strength. This needs no explanation, it defines itself.
Endurance – How long one can go about doing something. Not necessarily strenuous activity, but also things that are wearying. For example, staying up three days straight would be an endurance feat, just as much as running a race would be.
Speed – Just like strength, this is self-defining, covering ones’ fleetness of foot.
